About the album
Next develops the musical ideas of the previous album of the group, Look Into The Future , but contains more elements of jazz fusion , and therefore is close to the debut album Journey.
The album includes the opening blues track "Spaceman", the hard rock composition "Hustler", the instrumental "Nickel And Dime", the rock ballad "I Would Find You" and the song "Karma", stylized as Jimi Hendrix .
The instrumental track βCookie Dusterβ was included in the early versions of the album, but was not present at the release version. Later this track was placed on a collection of TimeΒ³.
