• Insectes Sociaux , an international scientific journal devoted mainly to public hymenopteran insects (founded in 1953, the first volume was published in 1954 ). Since 1990, the chief editor is Professor Johan Billen (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Leuven , Belgium ). It is published by Birkhäuser Publishing House ( Basel , Switzerland) on a quarterly basis (No. 1 - February, No. 2 - May, No. 3 - August, No. 4 - November). In February 2009, the 56th volume (No. 1) was published.
• Journal of Hymenoptera Research (ISSN 1314-2607, online; ISSN 1070-9428, print). In May 2012, the 27th volume ^[7] was published.
