Greg Zürlein ( born Greg Zuerlein ; born October 26, 1988 in Cincinnati , Ohio , USA ) is a former American ice skater . With Madison Chock, he became the world junior champion of 2009 and the winner of the Junior Grand Prix finals of the 2008-2009 season. He completed his sports career in 2011 and became a choreographer for skaters.

Content
Career
Greg started skating at age five. Before Madison Chock, his partner was Anastasia Olsen, with whom they performed only in domestic American competitions.
With Madison Chock, Greg Zurline got up in 2006. They were 5th in the US “novice” championship in 2007 . In 2008, they won the bronze of the national tournament already at the junior level and for the first time qualified for the final of the Junior Grand Prix, where they became fifth.
In the 2008-2009 season, Chok-Zurlayn won all the starts in which they participated, including the final of the Junior Grand Prix , the US Championship among juniors and the World Championship among juniors .
The following season, the couple took fifth place in the US Championship and did not get into the national team for the World Cup and the Olympic Games , in the championship of four continents they took fifth place. In the 2010/2011 season, having won the bronze of the national championship , they entered the top ten at the world championship (9th place). In June 2011, athletes announced the collapse of their pair and Greg announced the end of his sports career [1] .

Choreographer career
At the end of his sports career, he began working in the group of his coach Igor Shpilband as a choreographer. Among his students are two-time Ukrainian champions Alexander Nazarov and Maxim Nikitin .
