Story
The film describes one day of New York playwright Nick Rogan, who needs to catch the finals of the Baseball World Series , where his favorite Boston Red Sox team will perform, but as luck would have it, this day turned out to be terrible: problems with a daughter who rejects any normal clothing style, his wife filed for divorce, her lover, for whom his script was the most important thing in the world, and not he, his friend and the leading actor in his play, went nuts and started wandering around the streets, and a lot of other problems fell on the hero’s head. There are dangers and more serious - the terrible film critic Stephen Schwimmer, nicknamed "The Phantom Over Broadway", which promises to smash his play to smithereens. And all this is okay, but the most important match, which is difficult to get into due to huge traffic jams ...
