Alexander B. Sinelnikov (born September 14, 1953 , Moscow ) is a well-known Russian demographer and sociologist , family specialist, specialist in Jewish demography and history, and a publicist .

He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics , Candidate of Economic Sciences, Doctor of Sociological Sciences since 2015.
Place of work and position: deputy. Head of the Department of Sociology of the Family, Sociological Faculty of Moscow State University for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor . He was a member of the Expert Council on Family and Social Law of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on Family, Women and Children, and a member of the Jewish Heritage Society.
Circle of scientific interests: birth rate , marriages and divorces, relations between generations in the family, historical demography (in particular, problems of the mayorat ), demographic aspects of the assimilation of Jews in the USSR, historical demography. He is the author of the original methodology for determining the potential for marriage and the degree of its implementation.
