Biography
From a working family. In 1936 - 1941 he studied at school. In 1941 - 1945, as part of the Wehrmacht, he participated in the Second World War. In 1945 , as a non-commissioned officer of artillery, he was captured by the United States in Austria. After his release in the same year, he got a job as a fashion designer. Member of the SED since 1946 . On January 6, 1946, Fleisner joined the People’s Police of the Soviet Occupation Zone. In 1946 - 1948 he led the automotive department. In 1948 - 1950 he led the duty unit of the People's Police in Grossenhein (VP-Bereitschaft Grossenhein). In 1950 - 1951 he served as deputy head of equipment and weapons at the People's Police Office in Zeithein (VP-Dienststelle Zeithein). In 1951 - 1956 he led the automobile school of the Barracks People’s Police. In 1956 - 1958 he studied at the Higher Officer School of the National People's Army of the GDR . On October 7, 1963, Fleisner was promoted to Major General . From February 1, 1964 to December 27, 1985, he served as Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of Equipment and Armaments of the NNA . On October 7, 1969, he was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, and on October 7, 1977, colonel general. He was awarded many orders and medals of the German Democratic Republic and other socialist states, including the Order of Karl Marx, the Order of Merit for the Fatherland in gold and the Order of Scharnhorst. He died at the age of 63 on December 27, 1985 .
