Geographic data
It is located in the northwestern part of the Ust-Kut district of the Irkutsk region .
Borders:
- in the north - with the Yantalsky urban settlement ;
- in the east - with the Verkhnemarkovsky rural settlement ;
- in the south - with the Zvezdninsky city settlement ;
- in the west - Ust-Kutsky urban settlement
It is located on the southeastern outskirts of the Central Siberian Plateau (Leno-Angarsk Plateau). The Lena and Tayura rivers (a tributary of the Lena ) flow through the territory of the settlement. Many springs, small rivers. Swamps. Most of the territory is occupied by taiga .

Population

A village road runs along the left bank of the Lena along the left bank of the Lena, passing through the off-season. In dry weather, it is possible to travel on cars with good cross and tractors.
The same road passes by the village of Tayura , but the village is located on the right bank, and there are no crossings. Departure from Tayura to public roads is possible on cars with good traffic and tractors along lanes in a southerly direction - to Zvezdnoy .
