Biography

Club career

Pupil of the Brazilian Santos . In July 2005, he transferred to Shakhtar Donetsk ^[1] . He made his debut in the Premier League on August 28, 2005 in a match against Zaporizhzhya Metallurg (3: 1). On October 18, 2006 he made his debut in the Champions League in a match against the Spanish “ Valencia ” (2: 0) ^[2] , Leonardo played the whole match, but left a bad impression on his game ^[3] . I could not gain a foothold in the team and in February 2007 I was leased to Santos ^[4] , he played in only ten official matches (two in the Brazilian championship , one in the Libertadores Cup and seven in the São Paulo state championship . State Champion) ^[5] . Later, he was on loan to Brazilian clubs: San Cayetano ^[6] and Vasco da Gamay ^[7] .

In 2010, on loan, he performed at Gremio Barueri, then moved to Avai. In 2011-2012, he also acted on a rental basis at Atletico Goianiens, after which the team from Goiania transferred all the rights to the player. In 2013-2015 he changed five teams and eventually returned to his native Santos.

Team Career

World champion in the youth team of Brazil under 17 years old in 2003. Played all 6 matches. Even scored goals, despite the position of the defender. At first I opened the account in the quarter-finals against the USA (3: 0). And then he scored the only goal in the final against Spain (1: 0). As part of the youth national team of Brazil, he became a bronze medalist in 2005, spent 4 matches.

He was included by Brazil's head coach Carlos Alberto Parreira as part of the team for a friendly match against Guatemala , held in Sao Paulo on April 27, 2005.
