Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992 . Bilateral trade is insignificant - 13.0 million dollars in 2008 [1] .

Bilateral meetings
In December 2008, at the initiative of the Belarusian side, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chile with the first secretary of the Belarusian Embassy in Argentina, Sergey Lukashevich, with the Deputy Department for European Affairs Eduardo Shot. Various issues of bilateral relations and the further development of the legal framework were discussed.
Negotiation Process
- Preparation of visa cancellation agreements for holders of diplomatic, official and official passports
- Agreement on trade and economic cooperation and mutual protection of investments.
Diplomatic missions and consulates
- Belarus represents its interests in Chile through its embassy in Argentina . The Belarusian consulate also operates in Buenos Aires .
- Chile has not yet appointed an ambassador to Belarus.
Outstanding Personalities
- Ignatius Domeyko , an outstanding scientist and national hero of Chile, was born on July 31, 1802 in the estate of Medvedka, Grodno region .
