Aktay (in the upper reaches of Big Aktai) is a river in the Urals , in the Sverdlovsk region , the mouth of the river is 828 km on the left bank of the Tura ( Verkhoturskoe reservoir ), near the city of Verkhoturye . The length of the river is 65 km, the basin area is 856 km².

Earlier on the river was the Aktaysky Sket, or Aktay monastery cloister, located eight versts from Verkhoturye on the left bank of the river, on a hayfield, which in 1850 belonged to one of the Verkhotur monasteries.
