Description
Filemon monitors the work and monitors the activity of the entire Microsoft Windows file system , and also displays all the ongoing processes in real time.
Using the utility, the user can easily see which programs or dynamic libraries are running, correct some critical errors in the system files , besides Filemon not only shows the event log and changes that occur, but also reports on their deletion, opening, reading, writing file or directory . Thus, it can detect spies and track their activities.
Among other basic functionality, the technical capabilities include searching, saving the results to a file, installing filters for examining the operating system .
After the acquisition of Sysinternals software by Microsoft, the utility stopped developing, its technical capabilities “migrated” to Process Monitor [1] along with another previously popular utility RegMon .
