Biography

He was born on September 22, 1925 in the village of Chukatepa, Suzak district, earlier than the Osh region, now the Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan, in a peasant family. Ethnic Uzbek . Education is incomplete secondary. He worked as an accountant on a collective farm .

From September 1943 to May 1944 he studied at the Tashkent Infantry Red Banner Order of the Red Star School named after V.I. Lenin .

At the front since June 3, 1944 . He fought on the 1st Baltic Front , participated in the liberation of Belarus .

On June 23, 1944, near the village of Kozonogovo, Shumilinsky district, Vitebsk region of the Byelorussian SSR, at the decisive moment of the battle, the soldiers were attacked. On June 25, 1944, he was among the first to force the Western Dvina in the area of the village of Grinevo, Shumilinsky District, Vitebsk Region of the Byelorussian SSR , burst into the enemy’s trench and destroyed a large number of enemy soldiers. In battle, he received heavy shell shock from an enemy artillery shell that had been nearly exploded. [2]

After being wounded, he went to the hospital and did not return to the front due to the severity of the concussion.

The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded to him on July 22, 1944 at the age of 19 for courage and heroism shown in battle. [3]

From the memoirs of Hero Ruzi Azimov about a memorable battle:

“ On June 23, 1944, our regiment received an order to break through the enemy’s strong defenses, go to the Western Dvina , force it and gain a foothold on the south bank, so that later our main forces could cross the river. The battalion began preparations for the crossing, rafts were made up of improvised materials. At that time I was in a shelter and kept the enemy coast under observation, in order to open fire in case of danger. When the rafts were lowered into the water, I, along with everyone, jumped onto the boardwalk. The enemy opened heavy fire when the rafts reached the middle of the river. Many, struck by enemy bullets, stained the waters of the Western Dvina with their blood. But the Nazis failed to destroy all the landing troops on the water. As soon as I felt the shore, quickly burst into the trenches of the first line of defense, point-blank shot several invaders and took a favorable position for myself. At this time, very handy, we were supported by artillery fire from the left bank and for a while stunned the enemy. I took advantage of this and raised my comrades in the attack, destroying four enemy machine-gun calculations on the way. Not far away I noticed a bathhouse, made short runs to get to it and began to pour merciless fire on the defending fascists under cover of a log house. Very soon the Nazis realized where the machine gun was from, and fired at this bathhouse with mortars. One shell exploded next to me, and I was very shell-shocked. "

After returning, he worked on a collective farm . In 1951 he graduated from the Republican Party School under the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of the Kyrgyz SSR , and in 1965 - the Jalal-Abad Pedagogical School. Until 1974 he was at the economic and party work, was chairman of the voluntary fire society of the city of Jalal-Abad .

He lived in Jalal-Abad . He died in 2006 .
