Mini-cons ( born Mini-Cons ) - the inhabitants of the fictional universe of Transformers . The name comes from a combination of the English words “ mini ature” (or “ mini kin” - “tiny creature”) and “ con struction”. They are the characters of the animated saga under the general name " Unicron Trilogy ", which includes the animated series " Armada ", " Energon " and " Cybertron ", as well as the feature films " Transformers ", " Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen " and " Transformers 3: The Dark Side of the Moon ". The emblem of mini-cones is a stylized letter "M" inscribed in a rhombus .

Description
Mini-horses are very small robots (much smaller than human growth), controlled by their own protocol . Despite the “solid” dimensions, they have high intelligence and are considered the most advanced of transformers [1] . Their main property is the ability to form gestalt with large transformers (the so-called “small gestalt”), as a result of which the firepower and technical capabilities of their partner increase many times. They don’t know how to speak “for real” (both people and transformers by ear perceive their language simply as a squeak of different modulation and tonality ) [2] , but they understand other people's speech and easily find a common language with people (especially children) and transformers, because their brain almost resembles the human (more precisely, the brain of a child) [3] . Communication with each other can be maintained at any distance. In especially important cases, requiring unanimity and unity, they are able to publish a solemn melody , which serves as a signal for the unification of mini-cones [4] .
History
Animated
At the first contact of future partners, mutual scanning took place, then a kind of energy symbiosis formed . Therefore, once arose, such a union was indissoluble; Assigning someone else's mini-con was almost impossible, but the mini-horses themselves could not arbitrarily change partners. The combat power of the "small gestalt" turned out to be immeasurably greater than that of the "single" transformer, so the war for owning as many mini-cones as possible turned into the main content of the struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons. This struggle became especially acute when it became clear that some mini-horses themselves are able to form gestalt, uniting with each other, resulting in the appearance of a super-powerful offensive and defensive weapon - “Star Sword”, “Star Shield” and “Requiem-Blaster”, and absolutely deadly super-gun - "Hydra Cannon."
The involvement of mini-cones in hostilities led to the fact that both warring parties began to suffer too much loss. Then a truce was concluded, during which all mini-horses were loaded into a spaceship and sent through an hyperspace channel to an unknown part of the Universe.
Feature films
In M. Bay's films , mini-cones are, as a rule, unreasonable, but vicious and warlike creatures. They owe their appearance to the radiation of Allspark , or the "Great Spark", which breathes life into all electronic equipment (even created by people), it only needs to get under its influence. So, in the movie "Transformers" in one of the episodes, Agent Simmons demonstrates to the US Secretary of Defense the power of this radiation, directing it to a mobile phone , and as a result it comes to life. A series of subsequent episodes show how, under the influence of Ollspark, vending machines and other small electronics come to life and attack people.
In the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen , when Sam Whitwicky inadvertently drops a fragment of Allspark, he burns the floor in the room and falls to the first floor, into the kitchen; after that, all the household appliances there - coffee maker , toaster , waffle iron , microwave , mixer , vacuum cleaner, etc. - turn into mini-cones. Raging electrical appliances fire and chase Sam, and only Bumblebee manages to somehow subdue them, almost destroying the whole house. One of these mini-horses - Wiley, who turns into a radio-controlled machine, survives and begins to help the heroes. Another mini-con - Doctor, transforming into a microscope, is a scientist of Decepticons.
In the movie Transformers 3: The Dark Side of the Moon , Brains appears, autobot and friend Wiley turning into a laptop. Although most of the mini-conos shown in the films are unreasonable, they are somewhat endowed with the ability to reason and act independently - these are Wiley, Doctor and Brains.

Mini-Con Teams
Most of the mini-horses that appeared in the series “ Armada ” do not play a special role, acting only in conjunction with their owners or on their orders; Among them, only 12 mini-cones that are important for the plot can be distinguished. They are divided into four teams of three, and each team can be combined into a single form.
- Street Action Team
- Highwire ( English High Wire ) - the leader of the team, is transformed into a scooter
- Grindor ( born Grinder ) is a robot girl transforming into a motorcycle
- Shurshok (English Sureshock) - a skateboard
Most often in the series appears precisely this team. Its members are partners of earthly children - Red, Carlos and Alexis, who found them (Highwayer was found by Red in a cave , and the other two were found in a safe on an ancient spaceship). They are the only of the mini-cones who, by the end of the series, learned to speak humanly. They unite in gestalt - a small robot named Perceptor ( English Perceptor ), able to move with great speed and surprisingly powerful for its small size. In its very first appearance, the Perseptor helps Optimus Prime beat off the attack of Megatron and Starscream [8] , and later, along with the Autobots, participates in the operation to rescue mini-horses captured in the lunar base of the Decepticons.
- Air Defense Team
- Runway ( Eng. Runway ) - the leader of the team, is transformed into a Boeing Sonic Cruiser ;
- Jetstorm ( Eng. Jetstorm ) - aircraft " Concord ";
- Sonar ( English Sonar ) - shuttle " Lockheed Martin X-33 ."
These three air mini-horses, when combined, make up the “Star Sword” ( English Star Saber ) - a powerful energy blade with which you can chop almost anything. They do not have permanent partners from among the large transformers with whom each of them would be inextricably linked. Nevertheless, it is obvious that they clearly sympathize with Starscream: they worry about him [9] , they try to cheer up when he is in trouble, and they are ready, on their own initiative, without an order, to help him. For example, when Starscream was seriously injured by Tidel Wave during an expedition to Mars, the Air Defense Team found and brought to his aid the Fighter, and thereby saved him from death, although he did not ask them about it at all, and on the contrary, drove him away by saying that they left him alone [10] .
- Race Team
- Dirt Boss ( Eng. Dirt Boss ) - team leader;
- Downshift ( English Downshift );
- Mirage
All three are transformed into racing cars of various brands. They know how to unite, forming the so-called "Star Shield" ( born Skyboom Shield ). This is a shield of such strength that it can be used to block any shots and strokes, including a Star Sword strike and a shot from the Requiem Blaster.
- Space Team
- Skyblast ( born Sky Blast ) - a leader, is transformed into a multi-stage launch rocket " Saturn V ";
- Astroscope ( Eng. Astroscope ) - satellite ;
- Payload ( born Payload ) - truck.
Together they form the “Requiem Blaster” ( Eng. Requiem Blaster ) - the most powerful small arms of all available to the transformers. At first, the members of this team, especially their Skyblast commander, behaved like terrible cowards. However, it later became clear that in reality all three are simply ardent pacifists . More than anything, they are afraid that their strength and ability to create such powerful weapons will be used for evil purposes, and are ready to do this only to save the lives of other living beings - for example, once they voluntarily united to save the falling Optimus Prime , allowing him to shoot from the Requiem Blaster in the sea and thereby slow down his fall. It was also with their help that Optimus killed the villain Sideways.
