Geographical position
La Libertad is bordered by the Lambayeque , Cajamarca and Amazonas regions in the north, the San Martin region in the east, the Ancas and Uanuco regions in the south. In the west, the region is washed by the Pacific Ocean .
The administrative center of the region is the city of Trujillo , the third largest city in Peru.
La Libertad is the only region that combines the country's three main landscapes: the coast with sandy beaches, the mountains (Sierra), starting from the hills at Trujillo and ending with the Andes in the east and the rainforest.
Rivers: Urine flowing into the Pacific Ocean, Viru and Chikama .
History
