“Larks” ( Latvian: Cīrulīši ) is a social drama based on the play of the same name directed by Hari Gulbis, directed by Olgert Dunkers , shot by him at the request of the USSR State Radio and Television at the Riga Film Studio in 1980 .

Story
Zelma, who has lived a long working life at her old farm, Zhavoronki, must move to another district with one of her sons. All family members gather in the parental home: Elmar, a journalist in the Riga newspaper with his wife, a successful scientist Gundega; Raymond, one of the leaders on a nearby collective farm, and daughter are a doctor who lives near her mother. All children have accumulated life problems, and Zelma is worried about each of them. She really does not want to leave her home. Despite all the arguments of the children, having thought, she cancels the decided trip and remains on the farm.
