The name of the mountain comes from the Greek "paraginome" - "to go beyond something" [3] .
Paragilmen is the highest limestone outcast of the Main Ridge , 871 meters above sea level [4] . From the sea, this mountain looks like a big trapeze; it has steep slopes up to 60-80 ° and a flattened top, stretching from south to north almost half a kilometer. About 30 species of trees and shrubs grow on Paragilmen, 10 of them are listed in the Red Book . Attraction Paragilmena are two large yews on top of the mountain. The diameter of the trunk of one of them - about 70 centimeters, and the mighty branches spread to the sides of 7-8 meters. This yew giant is probably one of the oldest trees in Crimea [4] .
