The source of the river is 1 km southwest of the village of Mamonovo. It flows into the Dnieper, 2.5 km southeast of the village of Pnevo . It has no large tributaries [1] .
It flows through the territory of the Solovievsky rural settlement .
There are 3 villages on the banks of Vodva: Mamonovo , Yeskovo , Pnevo [1] .
The river crosses the Old Smolensk road .
