The cap reaches 4–9 cm in diameter, first hemispherical, then flattened and slightly depressed, with a smoothly slightly lined edge in old mushrooms. The color is quite diverse: from brick-red, red-orange and copper-red closer to the edge to bright yellow in the center and in separate areas, sometimes completely yellow, red or even purple. The peel of the hat is removed about half.
The plates are frequent or rather rare, sometimes repeatedly branching, almost loose, of a light ocher color, often with a yellow edge.
The leg is flat, with a rough or even finely scaly surface, usually made, slightly wadded inside with age, usually white, less often with a lemon-yellow tint, browning with age.
The pulp is strong, softening in the old mushrooms, white, under the skin it is most often bright yellow, without any particular smell, with a somewhat sweetish taste.
Spore powder is white. Spores 7.5-10 × 6-8.5 microns, broadly egg-shaped, tuberous, with scars forming an incomplete mesh. Pyleocystids are fusiform.
