Greco-Roman wrestling competitions among men in the weight category up to 120 kg at the 2008 Summer Olympics were held on August 14 . 20 athletes from different countries took part.
On November 17, 2016, 8 years after the completion of the competition by the IOC decision, due to a positive doping test, the Russian wrestler Hassan Baroev was deprived of a silver medal [1] . Silver passed to the Lithuanian Mindaugas Mizgaitis, whom Baroev won in the quarterfinals. The bronze of Mizgaitis went to the Frenchman Yannick Schepanyak , who lost to Baroev in the semifinals, and in the battle for third place to Mizgaitis.
