The area of ​​the district is 4486.24 km².

The area is located in the north of the Novgorod region .

History

According to the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee on April 3, 1924, volosts of Borovichi district of the Novgorod province were enlarged. The Beliisky volost was created (the village of Beloye) by the merger of the Lzic, Sherekhov, Lyubytinsky, and Stepanko volosts.

According to the decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of July 18, 1927, the Belsky District was formed as part of the Borovichi District of the Leningrad Region with its center in the village of Beloye. The following village councils of the former Novgorod province were included in the district:

    • from Bela volost: Agafonovsky, Barschinsky, Belsky, Bolshegorsky, Bolshe-Svetitsky, Borovsky, Velenitsky, Vycheremsky, Galitsky, Gorodensky, Gusinsky, Zaruchevsky, Knyazheselsky, Korshunovsky, Lyubytinsky, Miroezhsky, Ploshchinsky, Pogorelsky, Sokrovsky, Pokrovsky, Pokrovsky, Pokrovsky, Pokrovsky, Pokrovsky, Pokrovsky, Pokrovsky, Torbinsky, Hvoshcheviksky, Khirovsky, Chistensky, Sherekhovsky

In November 1928, the Kamensky and Nikandrovsky s / s were formed. Barshchinsky, Borovsky, Galitsky, Gusinsky, Dolbeevsky, Eroshatsky, Zaruchevsky, Miroezhsky, Ploshchinsky, Pogorelsky, Pokrovsky, Repishchensky, Rogozovsky, Skorovsky, Tokarevsky and Chistensky s / s were abolished. Voronik s / s was renamed Brodsky.

By a resolution of the Presidium of the Leningrad Executive Committee of March 11, 1931, the Belsky district was renamed the Lyubytinsky district , the Belsky village council of the district was renamed Lyubytinsky, and the village of Beloye was renamed the village of Lyubytino. The Lyubytinsky Village Council, with its center in the village of Lyubytino, was renamed Artyomovsky, the village of Lyubytino into the village of Artyomovsky [3] .

On January 1, 1932, Brodsky and Vnutsky s / s were transferred to Khvoyninsky district .

On August 27, 1939, the working village of Zarubino was formed. On July 5, 1943, the r.p. Komarovo .

On July 5, 1944, the Lyubytinsky district became part of the newly formed Novgorod region.

On June 8, 1954, the Stepankovsky s / s was formed and the Bolshesvetitsky, Gryaznozamostevsky, Torbinsky, Nozhkinsky and Bolshegorsky s / s were abolished.

On March 24, 1960, the Bolshezaborovsky s / s was transferred from the Malovishersky district to the Lyubytinsky. On April 9, Korshunovsky s / s was renamed Yartsevsky, and Stepankovsky s / s was renamed Borovshchinsky.

On August 17, 1961, the Princely S / s was abolished.

It was abolished on February 1, 1963. By a decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR of March 2, 1964, the Lyubytinsky rural area was formed from part of the Borovichi and Pestovsky rural areas. It included the former Dregelsky and Lyubytinsky districts.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR of January 12, 1965, the Lyubytinsky rural district was transformed into an administrative-territorial region. The district included r.p. Zarubino, Komarovo, Nebolchi , as well as village councils: Agafonovsky, Artyomovsky, Berezinsky, Borovshchinsky, Vilenitsky, Vycheremsky, Gorodensky, Dregelsky, Zvonetsky, Kamensky, Lyubytinsky, Nebolchsky, Nikandrovsky, Sivtsevsky, Taletskiy, Tidvorsky, Khvoshchevsky, Khvoshchevsky, Khvoshevsky, Khvoshchevsky, Khvoshchevsky, Sherekhovichsky and Yartsevsky. July 23 was formed r.p. Lyubytino.

On August 26, 1966, the Berezinsky s / s was abolished and the Eliseevsky s / s was formed. March 9, 1971 abolished Vilenitsky s / s. On November 25, 1974, Nikandrovsky s / s was abolished. November 18, 1975 Gorodensky and Tidvorsky s / s were abolished. February 11, 1982 the Kamensky s / s was abolished.

June 29, 1987 Khortitsky s / s was renamed Zapolsky.

November 22, 1990 Borovshchinsky s / s was abolished. On July 13, 1992, Eliseevsky s / s was abolished [4] .

Abolished settlements

In 2013, the villages of Bolshoi Maksimkovo and Velikaya were abolished.

Newly formed settlements

In 2018, the village of Maklochikha was formed on the territory of the Lyubytinsky rural settlement [18] .

Local government

In the early elections of the head of the Lyubytinsky municipal district [19] on March 13, 2011, a member of the United Russia party, Yuri Valentinovich Aleksandrov [20] , who worked as the first deputy head of the district, was elected, before him the head of the district was Vladimir Kobyakov [21] . In April 2013, by the decree of the governor of the Novgorod region, the head of the district, Aleksandrov Yu. V., was dismissed. Timofey Borisovich Gusev was appointed the acting head of the district. On September 8, 2013, on a single day, an election campaign took place in the Lyubytinsky district. Timofei Gusev won the election. On October 1, the inauguration ceremony of the elected head was held in the Lyubytinsky district.

Transport

The Oktyabrskaya Railway (Branch of the Russian Railways) passes through the Lyubytinsky District. Passenger traffic is carried out along the Pestovo-St Petersburg line and on the Okulovka-Nebolchi line, but since 2016, once a week.
