Content

History

The Ex-BB band appeared in Moscow in 1989 and was first called the Ex-Bim-Bom (separated from the parody band Bim-Bom).

The initial composition of the group included: Alexander Kalinin, Gia Gagua , Alexander Ozerov and Vadim Sorokin.

The first numbers are “Sincere Aria of Othello”, “Georgian Choir ”, “Russian Tune” (“Russian Rock”). The Ex-BB group participated in humorous festivals such as Golden Ostap in St. Petersburg (1990, 1992, 1995), Odessa Humorina (1997), Sea of ​​Laughter in Riga (1997), etc.

In 2003, the concert hall “Russia” hosted the group’s first performance , after which it gained real popularity .

Members of the group repeatedly gave tours both in Russia and abroad.

“Ex-BB” is a regular participant in the TV programs “ Full House ”, “ Laughing Panorama ”, “Meeting Place”, “Funny People”.

The death of Vadim Sorokin

The last time Vadim Sorokin (April 19, 1959 - March 6, 2007) participated in the Ex-BB concert three weeks before his death. He lost a lot of weight, felt bad, but continued to go on stage, and only when he became completely ill did he stay at home. He died of the consequences of eye melanoma on March 6, 2007, and was buried in Moscow at the Khovansky cemetery [1] .

Ex-BB-Gia

Gagua Gia (Givi) Levanovich - “ People's Artist of the Russian Federation ”, associate professor of the department of directing theatrical performances, master of the stage of directing variety art at Moscow State University of the Culture of Arts “(MGUKI)”. After the death of Vadim Sorokin, Gia Gagua left the band Ex-BB and created his own show group called Ex-BB-Gia.

NEXT BB

Alexander Kalinin and Alexander Ozerov created their own team - the Next-BB group, which not only continued the traditions of the Ex-BB group, but also brought a lot to the group’s work - it opened a new creative stage, taking into account the modern realities of life, changing the objects of parodies on the stage, etc.

To replenish the composition of the group, Alexander Ozerov and Alexander Kalinin attracted many new, talented and funny artists.

Currently

In 2012, the old members of the group - Alexander Kalinin, Gia Gagua and Alexander Ozerov reunited. The first broadcast took place in December of the same year on the program “Laughing is allowed” on the Russia-1 television channel.

In 2013, the Ex-BB group delighted fans with the premiere of the new song “New Year” on the eve of the New Year holidays.

In 2014, the Ex-BB group turned 25 years old.

In 2019, the Ex-BB group celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Interesting Facts

  • Alexander Ozerov, Vadim Sorokin and Alexander Kalinin knew each other before working at Bim-Bom — they all studied at the Moscow Aviation Institute .
  • Alexander Ozerov, who was then a member of the Bim-Bom group, was approved for the role of Lenka in the film Love and Pigeons , but for a number of reasons he could not come to shoot in Karelia. As a result, the director of the film, Vladimir Menshov, called another contender for the role of Igor Lyakh . Ozerov also came to the shooting, but in the end it was decided that Lyakh would play the role.
