Story

Chapter One

The campaign takes place simultaneously with the campaign action of the original game. The protagonist is a student of the adventure seeker dwarf Drogan Drogansson in the small village of Hilltop in Silver Reach and is studying with other students - Xanos, Dorna and Misha. The campaign begins with a kobold attack on the village. Drogan is wounded and suffers from poison, some of the most valuable artifacts from his laboratory have been stolen.

The start of the campaign. Kobolds attack Master Drogan.

Soon after the attack, Ayala arrives, the elf is the Harper . With the help of her magic, she stabilizes the state of Drogan and talks about the fact that she and Drogan are members of the Order of the Harpers. The task of Drogan, as a Harper, was to protect magical artifacts: the mummified hand of the deceased Lich Belferon, a tooth of a dragon , a mask that once belonged to the powerful priest of the Lord of Shadows, and a figurine in the shape of a tower found in a grave in the middle of the desert. The task of returning artifacts falls on the protagonist, as on Drogan's beloved student.

During the search, the hero discovers that an unknown sorceress named J'Na intends to collect a collection of missing artifacts for a mysterious woman in a hood. Initially, J'Na entered into an alliance with the nearby white dragon Timofarrara, who ruled the kobolds. But, not wanting to share, she ordered her gnolls to attack the kobolds after the attack on Hilltop. In the process of collecting all four artifacts, it turns out that the statuette of the tower, previously considered the least valuable, actually hides a crystal of great magical power. Drogan, barely recovering from the action of the poison, asks the hero to consult an archaeologist named Garrick, who is studying the ruins of the ancient Netherese in the Anauroch desert, about the crystal.

Interlude

At the request of Drogan, the hero departs for Anauroch with a halfling caravan. They are heading to a small settlement of followers of Ao, where, according to the latest information, Garrick is located. Upon seeing the crystal, Garrick recognizes in it the mythallar, a powerful artifact of the ancient Netherese race. Netherese used similar artifacts to keep their flying cities in the air. Garrick also mentions another group of archaeologists exploring nearby ruins in the Valley of the Winds and attacked by a mysterious woman in a hood. A woman leading a squad of demonic critters is trying to open some kind of portal. The hero recognizes in the mysterious woman the one who stood behind J'Na. Going to ruins, the hero sees a woman in a hood leave through a portal. At this moment, Drogan is teleported to the hero. Together, they activate the portal again, only to discover that a mysterious woman has set a trap on it. Drogan, using a magic shield against the crumbling walls, sacrifices himself to enable the protagonist to enter the portal.

Passing through the portal, the hero is again in the desert. In ancient ruins, he / she encounters a mysterious woman in a hood. Here she reveals her true essence - this is a jellyfish, a terrible monster with snakes instead of hair. The look of the jellyfish turns the hero into a stone statue. Jellyfish easily takes the mythallar from the petrified fingers of the protagonist. Hyurodis (Heurodis) - that is the name of the jellyfish - is going to use the mythallar to restore the ancient flying city of Netherez - Andrentayd. With such power, she can rule all Faerэn .

Chapter Two

The petrified hero falls into the hands of the merchant Ashtara, a representative of the lizardmen race, who returns to his / her previous form and puts on the slave's collar. From now on, the hero will have to complete Ashtara’s quest to find treasures in the ruins of Andrentide. However, after the successful destruction of the guard golems that prevented Ashtara's slaves from searching the ruins, the lizard frees the protagonist, allowing him to continue the pursuit of Hyurodis, who at that time was at the final stage of the ritual to restore the flying city. It turns out that Hyurodis settled on top of the Tower of the Winds, blocking the entrance to the tower with a powerful magic barrier. To remove the barrier, the hero needs to collect three magic artifacts - the Wise Wind, the Dark Wind and the Death Wind. While the hero collects the Winds and rises to the top of the tower, Hyurodis completes the ritual and lifts Andrentide into the sky. At the top of the tower, the protagonist converges with the jellyfish, which has now become a lich, in the final battle. He / she has to destroy the crystals through which the mythallar energy flows. This releases energy and the city begins to fall. Knowing that Hyrodis can survive the fall of the city, the hero kills her, and then uses the magic mirror found earlier in Andrantide to escape to the Shadow Plan and avoid death.

  • Ayala Windspear is a mysterious stranger who appeared in the Summit at the same time as the kobolds attack. Ayala consists in organizing the Harpers. She provides medical assistance to the wounded master Drogan and gives the hero valuable guidance on where to look for stolen artifacts. In addition, Ayala can teleport the hero to the right place.

Race: Elf
Class: Pathfinder / Harper Scout
Appearance: Chapter 1
Status: Alive

  • J'Na - a powerful sorceress from a very rare race of half-elves, half-demons and the henchman of the jellyfish Yurodis. Their relationship is built on the principle of a master-slave, despite the fact that J'Na herself is quite skilled in handling weapons and magic. Although she looks almost like an elf, something unusual is caught in her features that betrays her exotic origin. J'Na subjugated the Gnoll tribe and used them to capture the master artifacts of Master Drogan. Her refuge is located in a well-protected underground complex in the High Forest, south of the village of Vershina. It is known that J'Na hates the Harpers and especially Ayala, and also feuds with Tymofarrar.

Race: demonothea (elf mixed with demonic blood)
Class: Sorcerer
Appearance: Chapter 1
Status: killed by a hero or alive (player's choice)

  • Drogan is a former adventurer who retired and opened his own school to teach young adventurers and magicians. In the small village of Peaks, the school is a very significant place, and Drogan itself is a very respected person. Besides the fact that Drogan is a powerful wizard, he consists of the secret organization of the Harpers, who are called to restrain evil and maintain harmony in the world. At the beginning of the game events, Drogan was seriously wounded by a poisoned blade, but thanks to the efforts of Ayala, he was able to teleport to the other side of Feirun - to the Anavrouh desert to help the hero get to Yurodis. Drogan opens the portal, but falls into the jellyfish trap and dies, sacrificing his life for the victory over Yurodis.

Class: Wizard / Harper Scout
Appearance: 1 chapter, interlude
Status: Dead

  • Katriana is the leader of the half- sledding trade caravan that travels from south to north through all the known lands all the way to the Anavrouch desert in the far North. Katriana is serious and pragmatic, rarely jokes, but rather witty.

Race: Halfling
Class: scammer
Appearance: 1 chapter, interlude
Status: Alive

  • Tymofarrar is a white dragon that lives in caves north of the Summit. He holds the kobold tribe in slavery, forcing them to fulfill their orders. Bard Diyikin was with him as a jester, although the dragon belonged to the little kobold with some sympathy. Tymofarrar organized the abduction of artifacts from the master Drogan, previously conspiring with the sorceress J'Noy. Tymofarrar has a sense of humor and a rather strange character for the dragon - he is inclined to adventures and experiments for the sake of entertainment (for example, he tried to teach Kobold Diikin to read and write, and once instead of gobbled up the paladin who tried to kill him, he turned him to evil) .
