Love, Kevin

Kevin Wesley Love ( born Kevin Wesley Love ; born September 7, 1988 in Santa Monica , California ) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers National Basketball Association . Was selected 5th in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies team. As part of the US national team, he became the world basketball champion in 2010 and the Olympic champion in 2012. In the 2010/11 season, he became the first basketball player in the history of the NBA after its association with the ABA , which scored 53 double-doubles in a row.

Early years

Kevin Love was born in Santa Monica to the family of Karen and former NBA basketball player Stan Love . Kevin is the nephew of The Beach Boys vocalist Mike Love [1] . A year later, the Love family moved to Lake Oswigo , Oregon. [2] Stan Love conveyed his interest in basketball, showing Kevin a video about the Lakers vs. Celtics confrontation. In addition, Love studied video about the game of center Wes Anseld and Bill Walton , as well as other players: Hakim Oladzhuvon , David Robinson , Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan [3] .

Student career

Kevin Love played for UCLA for one year. In the 2007/08 season, he played 39 matches. Minnesota executives traded Kevin for two newcomers to Cleveland Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett . In the offseason, LeBron James also joined Cleveland, and David Blatt became the new Cleveland coach.
