Geographical position
The village of Kuryazhanka is located in the Kuryazhanka beam (Kuryazh), 5 km from the border of the city of Kharkov , 2.5 km from the village Solonitsevka . A drying Kuriaz stream flows through the village, which after 5 km flows into the Uda River , the village is surrounded by a large wooded area called the Kharkovskoye tract (oak).
History
- 1650 - the date of foundation.
- 1926 - in the village Kuryazh (now the village Podvorki ) in the buildings of the Kuryazhsky Holy Transfiguration Monastery was transferred to the colony of them. Gorky - correctional institution for juvenile offenders, it was headed by A. S. Makarenko .
