Bunets - village [ specify ] as part of the Togatin commune of the Cecana sector of the Chisinau municipality . It is located 5 km east of the village of Stavcheny and 5 km north-west of the village of Togatin [2] . In addition to the village of Bunets, the community also includes the villages of Togatin and Keltuitor .

It was founded in 1901 by Russian and Ukrainian immigrants [3] . During the years of Soviet power, Bunets was recognized as " unpromising " and therefore it was forbidden to build houses (if in 1969 237 people lived in the village, then in 1984 only 83) [3] . Currently, the ban on construction has been lifted , houses are being built, old ones are being reconstructed. The village is not connected to the gas system, although the Chisinau gas pipeline passes through it. In 2011-2012, water was laid [4] .
The eastern and southern parts of the village are planted with vineyards [2] .
