Biography

Her parents were from one village, near Kolomna, they arrived early in Moscow to work. Mother, at the age of 14, got a job at a weaving factory, father traded in a private store. Father died in August 45th from tuberculosis.

At 15, she entered the Russian Folk Choir under the direction of P.G. Yarkova. Member of the front concert brigades. She graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography ( 1951 , the workshop of Sergei Yutkevich and Mikhail Romm ).
