Racing (football club, Paris)

Racing ( French: Racing Club de France ) is a French football club from the northwestern suburbs of Paris . It was founded in 1882 . The club performs in the amateur division of France . One of the oldest French clubs. In 1936, the club won the French Major League ; won the French Cup in 1936, 1939, 1940, 1945 and 1949. The club won the silver championship 2 times in 1961 and 1962. In the mid-60s, the club went bankrupt and slipped into the lower leagues of the French championship.
