The local cliffs are known as the Tent Rocks. Such an unusual form they owe their origin to the deposition of volcanic rocks and ash, subjected to erosion.
Access to the rocks is paid and is open only during the day. The monument is managed by the governor of Kochiti, the Pueblo Indian community.
