Biography
He began acting in the province in the 90s. XIX century, then worked in Moscow and St. Petersburg. For several periods of his life - in the Moscow theater of Korsh (1894-1997, 1900-1904, 1917-1926). In 1904-1915 - at the Alexandrinsky Theater , in 1926-1929 - at the Zamoskvoretsky Theater.
He was the director of the Bolshoi Theater , as well as theaters of Kharkov, Kiev, Odessa, Tbilisi, Rostov-on-Don.
