National Park Guiana Amazonia ( French Parc amazonien de Guyane ) - the largest national park in France, located in French Guiana . The area of the park is 33.9 thousand sq. Km. It was formed on February 27, 2007 .

No roads lead to the park, and access to it is possible either by air or by water.
History
The project for the park was prepared after an intergovernmental agreement was signed in 1992 during a summit on planet Earth in Rio de Janeiro. In 1993, a decision was made to organize the park, and in 1995 the first draft was prepared. This project was rejected in December 1997. On June 21, 1998, an agreement entered into force recognizing the rights of the indigenous people living within the planned park. The final draft was submitted in 2006 and approved in February 2007.
Geography
20 300 sq. M. km the territory of the park is under maximum protection; any mining is prohibited there, including gold in river beds. The remaining territory of the park belongs to the Indian peoples of Wayana , Texos and Maripasula ; there are less stringent restrictions.
The park is located entirely in the natural zone of the rainforest .
On the border with Brazil, the Guiana Amazonia Park connects to the Montagnas do Tumucumake National Park with an area of 38 thousand square meters. km
