Biography
Fedor Yakovlevich Akkuratov was born on September 17, 1915 in the village of Cheremisino [2] (according to other data, Istrahovo [1] [3] [4] . Now the village does not exist) Kineshma counties of Kostroma province (now Kineshma district of the Ivanovo region ) in the Russian peasant family [4] . He studied at the Ilyinskaya rural school, then entered the Kineshma eight-year school. He worked on the collective farm , and after graduating from school he worked as a watchmaker in the workshop of the Artel "Exact time" [2] [5] .
In 1936, the Kineshma District Military Commissariat was called up for military service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army [6] . He studied at the school of junior aviation specialists. He served in the combat units of the Air Forces of the USSR [5] .
From December 19, 1939, Akkuratov was on the fronts of the Soviet-Finnish war . He participated in the battles on the Karelian Isthmus [6] as an air gunner-radio operator as part of the 50th Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 18th High-Speed Bomber Air Bombing Air Force of the 7th Army of the North-Western Front . He made 44 successful sorties, while destroying several enemy fighters [5] . For excellent performance of the mission, he received several thanks from the command [2] .
On March 1, 1940, while carrying out a combat mission to destroy enemy firing points, the plane in which the senior political officer Vasily Koynash , navigator, lieutenant Boris Kornilov and foreman Akkuratov were located, came under intense shelling of enemy anti-aircraft artillery in the area of Tammisuo station. The crew managed to eliminate the fire that occurred on board, but then they made an emergency landing near the village of Kyakhari (now the village of Goncharovo in the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region ) in the territory occupied by the enemy. In the ensuing ground battle, Akkuratov was killed by machine-gun fire when he tried to reconnoiter the escape routes [7] . He was buried in the Sestroretsk cemetery [5] .

For his feat (“for the exemplary performance of the combat tasks of the command on the front against the Finnish White Guard and the bravery and heroism shown at the same time), foreman Fedor Yakovlevich Akkuratov on March 21, 1940, was posthumously awarded the title“ Hero of the Soviet Union ” with the award of the Gold Star medal and the Order Lenin [5] .
The diploma of the Hero of the Soviet Union was deposited in the school number 11 of the city of Kineshma. In addition, the name of Akkuratov was immortalized on the Alley of Heroes and on the memorial plaque dedicated to the graduates of the Kineshma flying club. One of the streets of Kineshma [5] was named after Akkuratov and renamed Mariinsky Street in Leningrad [8] . On September 1, 2017, in the village of Ilinskoe , a memorial plaque was installed on the building of the school where he studied [9] .
