Description
Unlike other twigs , the male and female are similar (only the male is often less bright) and the pairs are monogamous . This bird has a green head with a metallic tint, a gray beak with a black tip. Her breasts are covered with black and white feathers, and her sides are orange-brown. She has white cheeks and in front of her head, as well as white underwing. Length approximately 45 cm.
Omnivores.
Females lay 6 to 10 eggs.
Distribution
This twig lives in the south of South America : on the Falkland Islands , in Argentina , Uruguay and Chile , prefers fresh water lakes, swamps, lagoons and slow-flowing rivers. On the eve of winter, it flies to southeast Brazil .
