Anu Tali ( Est. Anu Tali ; born June 18, 1972 ) is an Estonian conductor .

Biography
She graduated from Tallinn Music School as a pianist. Since 1995, she studied conducting at the Sibelius Academy with Jorma Panula , then she studied at the Estonian Academy of Music (including Roman Matsov ), and finally in 1998 - 2000 . completed her musical education at the St. Petersburg Conservatory under the direction of Ilya Musin and Leonid Korchmar .
In 1997, Tali founded the Estonian-Finnish Youth Symphony Orchestra ( Estonian Eesti-Soome Sümfooniaorkester ), further expanded by inviting musicians from a total of 15 countries and renamed the Northern Symphony Orchestra. The collective gives five concerts annually and has recorded two discs to date, the first of which ( 2002 ) included the premiere recordings of Veljo Tormis ’s orchestra suites “Ocean” and “Swan Flight”. The second album includes works by Jan Sibelius , Sergey Rachmaninov and Erkki-Sven Tuyur . The director of the orchestra is the twin sister of the conductor Kadri Tali .
In 2004, she was awarded the Estonian Prize for a young cultural figure .
