Kudryavtsev, Igor Nikolaevich

Igor Kudryavtsev was born in the city of Sokol, Vologda Oblast . Then the family moved to the village of Kushchevskaya of the Krasnodar Territory .

In 1962 he graduated from the Rostov College of Agricultural Engineering, in 1985 - Higher Literary Courses at the Gorky Literary Institute . He worked at the Rostselmash plant as a fitter, was in the factory literary association. He served in the ranks of the Soviet Army .

Then from 1967 to 1975 he worked in the laboratory of the State Supervision Agency for Standards and Measuring Equipment.

In 1977 he was admitted to the ranks of the CPSU . Currently lives in Rostov-on-Don , head of the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Rostov region . The head of the literary association of young poets of the Rostov region is Don , the first leader of which was the famous Don poetess Elena Nesterova ^[1] .

The first poems of Kudryavtsev were published in 1959 in the newspaper Rostselmashevets. He was published in the magazines Moscow , Molodaya Gvardiya , Ogonyok , Smena , Don , central and regional newspapers, and collective collections. Among his “literary teachers” he distinguishes the famous Rostov poet Alexander Rogachev ^[2] (later the editor of the first collection) and Evgeny Dolmatovsky . The first book of poems “The Early Path” was published in Rostov-on-Don in 1978 . For it, he was awarded the prizes of the Union of Writers of the USSR , the Central Committee of the Komsomol , the State Committee for Publishing of the USSR and the first All-Union Competition of Young Poets and in 1979 he was admitted to the Union of Writers of the USSR . Then came eight ^[3] books of his poems in Rostov and Moscow publishing houses and several historical documents. The topic of poems by Igor Kudryavtsev is quite wide. This is philosophical, love lyrics, poems on pressing socio-political and historical topics, about the nature and people of the Don region. From the works of Kudryavtsev, the poem “Duel" was most famous:

There was a shot at the edge
Making the black forest startle ...
Only for a moment did Pushkin die,
And only a moment did Dantes live ^[4] .

Winner of prizes of the Union of Writers of the USSR , the Central Committee of the Komsomol , the USSR State Committee for Publishing and the first All-Union Competition of Young Poets.
