Vishki ( Latvian: Višķi ) - a railway station on the Rezekne - Daugavpils line , formerly part of the Petersburg-Warsaw Railway , opened on November 8 (20), 1860 at the opening of the Ostrov - Dinaburg section, 191 versts long, called Viski in the nearby village of Viski . Now the village of Shpogi adjoins the station, there is a one-story station, a small amount of cargo is being carried out at the station. Passenger commuter traffic stopped from the end of the 90s of the XX century, until recently, one international train Vilnius - St. Petersburg , St. Petersburg - Vilnius without stopping passed through the station. Behind the station is a railway bridge across the Dubna River. The old highway St. Petersburg - Dinaburg (Daugavpils) passes by the station. Now the station is in the Vishksky volost of the Daugavpilssky territory .

History
At the opening of the station, it was called Dubno, in 1894 it became known as HSE. For a short time in 1918 it was again referred to as Dubno, but since 1919 Vishka was again indicated in all official documents [2] .
During the First World War , an additional line was laid from the station to provide the army in force to the Nice station of the Riga – Daugavpils railway, which was dismantled in the post-war period as unnecessary [2] .
There is an album of photographs “Views of the Petersburg-Warsaw Railway” for 1898, there is a photo of the station Vishki. In a field near the station on January 29 / February 11, 1916, Emperor Nicholas II conducted a review of the troops of the Northern Front, the royal train stood at the station of Vishki.
