Qt Extended (called Qtopia until September 30, 2008) is a platform for mobile and embedded devices built on the basis of Linux systems - PDAs , projectors and mobile phones . Developed by Qt Software , with support from Digia .

Qt Extended uses a dual licensing scheme - the GPL and proprietary licenses.
Devices
For 2006, Qtopia worked on several million devices, including 11 mobile phone models and 30 other handheld devices. [one]
Models include the Linux series - PDAs Sharp Corporation Zaurus , Sony mylo , PDAs Archos (PMA430) (multimedia device), Gamepark Holdings GP2X , Greenphone (“open phone”), Pocket PC , FIC Openmoko : Neo 1973 and FreeRunner phones. An unofficial hack makes it possible to use 604, 605, 705 and several Motorola phones such as E2, Z6, ZN5 and A1200 on Archos wifi (a series of portable multimedia players ). The ZTE U980 was the last phone powered by Qt Extended.
Software Development
Native applications can be developed and compiled using C ++ . [2] Managed applications can be developed in Java.
Termination of Development
March 3, 2009, Qt Software announced the discontinuation of Qt Extended as a standalone product, integrating some features directly into the Qt Framework. [3]
Qt Extended Improved
Qt Software closed the Qt Extended project, but since it was free, the community created a fork [4] called Qt Extended Improved and continued development by creating a new homepage [5] .
