Biography
Born in a family of employees. In 1903 he moved with his parents to Harbin , where he learned English and Chinese. In 1915 he entered the Law Faculty of Moscow University . He failed to continue his studies, as the First World War began . At the end of February 1916 he was sent to the Peterhof Ensign School, graduating from which on July 20, 1916, with the rank of ensign he was sent to the 27th Siberian Reserve Regiment in Irkutsk. In mid-January 1917 he was sent to the Romanian front in the 309th regiment of the 78th division of the 9th army, where he was promoted to lieutenant. In February 1918 he arrived in Harbin, then in Nikolsk-Ussuriysky , where he worked under the Revolutionary Committee, then at the headquarters of the Red Guard [3] . He moved to an illegal position in Vladivostok , where he began work in trade unions.
Far East
At the beginning of 1919 he began organizing a partisan detachment, being a member of the Revolutionary Committee, combined with the Bolsheviks. In 1919, Mamaev was the chief of staff in the detachment of Sergei Lazo . In November 1919 he was recalled to Vladivostok , where he took part in the Hyde uprising . Since September 1920, the Commissioner of the Comintern, G. Voitinsky , was taken to China , where he worked under his leadership in Hankou and Mukden around February 1921, organizing party cells. Since February 1921 he worked illegally in Harbin . In August 1921, he was seconded to Irkutsk , where he worked in the bureau of the Comintern and was one of the organizers of the First Far Eastern Congress of East Peoples , where he first met with V.K. Blucher .
In 1921 he was transferred to Moscow, where he taught at KUTV . In 1924 he graduated from the eastern branch of the Red Army Military Academy [3] , after which he worked for some time at the Peopleβs Commissariat for Foreign Affairs .
China
In 1924 he was sent as a military adviser to the headquarters of V.K. Blucher . At this time, Sun Yat-Sen invited V.K. Blucher to China as the Chief Military Advisor to the South Canton Group of the Chinese Army. In 1924-1926 he was in China as a military adviser to the Guangzhou Group. He taught at the VAMPU school . He participated in military operations in Guangdong and the Northern Campaign as a military adviser at the 7th (Guangxi) corps, as well as in the assault on Wuchang [3] . On February 23, 1928, by Order No. 101, he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of the USSR for preparing and participating in the Northern Campaign, as well as for his activities in China in 1924-1926 [4] . In 1928-1933 he served in the Military Academy of the Red Army named after M.V. Frunze. In 1933 he was sent to the Japanese-occupied city of Dairen .
Moscow
In 1936, after returning from Dairen, he served in the Headquarters of the Red Army as Deputy Head of the 2nd East Division of the Intelligence Directorate of the Red Army . At the same time he graduated from the main faculty of the Academy. Frunze . In March 1937, he began teaching at the Eastern Faculty of the Academy , was appointed senior lecturer at the Department of Regional Geography and Military Geography [4] (NGO order No. 0048 of 05.29.1937).
Arrested during the Stalinist repressions on December 5, 1937, together with his wife Raisa Moiseevna Mamaeva . He died during interrogation on April 4, 1938 in prison. A death certificate was issued on February 25, 1941, and an entry in the book of acts of civil status on death was made on July 15, 1939.
In May 1956, the case of I.K. Mamaev was dismissed on the basis of Art. 204 p. "B" for lack of evidence of the charges. June 17, 1998 on the basis of Art. 3, paragraph βeβ of the Law of the Russian Federation βOn the rehabilitation of victims of political repressionβ of 10/18/1991 was rehabilitated.
