Story
The schoolboy Vitya Glushakov is fond of books and films about Indians and writes a story about them. Being carried away, he is transported to his fictional world and protects the indigenous population of North America from ruthless colonizers. Once Vitya paid the bus conductor a fine for a stowaway alcoholic Arkady. A friendship is made between a schoolboy and a single person. Uncle Arkady introduces himself as Viti’s father and attends parent-teacher meetings at the school, helping Vita strengthen her authority in the classroom and protecting Vitya from the bully Tomilin. Under the influence of Viti and his school friend Nina Skvortsova, Arkady quits drinking and gets a job.
