"Transformers: Beasts" (otherwise simply "Beasts" , Eng. Transformers: Beast Machines ) is an American animated series , one of the many series about robot transformers . It is a direct continuation of the earlier animated series “ Battle of the Beasts, ” and is also drawn using 3D graphics. The main plot difference from the previous series is that its action is no longer on Earth, but on Cybertron - the fictional home planet of transformers. A feature of this series is that it is the shortest of all the series about transformers (there are only 26 series in it).
The slogan of the animated series: “The same planet. A new battle . "

Story
Season 1 (Episodes 1–13)
The Battle of the Beasts has died down. Maximal winners, along with the captured Megatron, return to Cybertron. However, when passing through time, Megatron breaks out of captivity and leaves the temporary stream earlier, as a result of which he finds himself at home, far ahead of the maxima. Thus, when the maxima return to the planet, they are met there by new enemies - the Vecicons (from the English Vehicle - “vehicle” ) . These are Megatron soldiers, soulless, transformers, devoid of their own intelligence and sparks , driven only by the will of their ruthless leader. Struck by the virus created by Megatron, the maxima lose their memory of what happened during the flight, and find themselves locked in their original animal forms, unable to transform. They are helpless in front of the Vejikon armies and forced to flee from them. But something strange, similar to the ball of light visible only to him, begins to lead Optimus Prime , the leader of the maxima, allowing him to find one after another of his three associates - Rattrap, Chitora and Black Widow. Together, guided by the same vision, they descend into the bowels of Cybertron, where they discover the Oracle - an ancient Cybertron super computer that predicted the appearance of the first transformers on Cybertron [1] . The oracle formats the maxima again, giving them new, techno -organic bodies - the perfect mixture of technology and organics. Now Optimus and his team have to re-learn how to transform into robots and engage in battle with the Wehicons and Megatron. The oracle tells Optimus that Cybertron, in spite of the high technological effectiveness of this planet, has an “organic” core, and instructs the maxima to an almost impossible task: to restore equilibrium between organic and technology on Cybertron. The matter is complicated by the fact that Megatron, obsessed with the idea of destroying organic matter and transforming the planet into an ideal techno-sphere, is ready to do everything in his power (and he has huge powers, I must say) to prevent them.
Season 2 (episodes 14–26)
This season has its own name - "Fight for the sparks."
Characters
Maximal
- Optimus Primal ( Eng. Optimus Primal ) - the leader of the maxima, his animal form - the gorilla . He accuses himself of not being able to prevent Megatron from exterminating all life on Cybertron, and seeks to make amends [2] . Having a direct connection with the great Oracle, Optimus Prime tries as best he can to fulfill his order and restore Cybertron, and is ready for any sacrifice for this purpose. Able to absorb enemy shots and redirect their energy, firing powerful charges. It is also able to fly in robot mode and shoot energy shuriken disks.
- Chitor ( born Cheetor ) - deputy leader, combat commander. Zveroforma - Cheetah . The reader has matured significantly since the Beast Wars; now he is not a careless and frivolous young man, but an ardent adult who is able to take responsibility and make important decisions. The reader is exclusively devoted to his work and Optimus, although he was once forced to remove him from command and take it upon himself. It was him who Primal subsequently instructed to lead the Cybertrons.
As a weapon, the Chitor carries two curved sabers . He masterfully owns them - he can not only strike, but also repel enemy shots; combining his sabers, he can use them to plan in the air. Also, turning them crosswise, can throw as a cutting boomerang . - Rattrap is a technician, hacker, and inventor. Zveroform - a rat ; in alt-form, the robot has wheels instead of legs. At first, he could not transform into a robot, and when he succeeded, it turned out that he had no weapons. Because of this, other maxima ceased to take him seriously, and this made the offended Rattrap seek help from Megatron himself, and even for a while become his ally [3] . However, in the end, Rattrap managed to strengthen his authority in the eyes of his comrades and again became a full-fledged member of the detachment, helping maxima with his knowledge. He tirelessly invents all kinds of technical innovations that are intended to be used as weapons or camouflage means. With the help of its tail, it can connect to any network and pump out any information. In addition, there is an electric torch in the tail.
- Black Widow ( English Blackarachnia ) - spy and warrior; bestial form - a giant anthropomorphic spider . Often acts in his own way, not listening to anyone and trusting only his heart. Despite her pre-legal past, she is exceptionally kind, although, as a rule, she hides it from everyone. In the war with Megatron, she has her own goal - to save her beloved Silverbolt, who appeared in the ranks of the Vejicons; she fights for him in the same way that Silverbolt fought for her during the Animal Wars on Earth, and in the end wins [4] . It has the ability to conduct electricity on its web, which can throw in any direction; also has special shells in service, enveloping the enemy with sticky cobwebs in contact.
- Nightscream ( born Nightscream ) - performs the functions of aerial reconnaissance. Animal shape is a bat . It was found by the maxima on Cybertron "stuck" in the bestial form, and only the reformatting carried out by Primal allowed him to regain the ability to transform [5] . Ardent and good-natured, Nightscream sincerely seeks to restore peace on Cybertron. Like Primeal, he is tormented by the conscience for the fact that he himself escaped from technovirus due to transformation into a techno-organic being, but did not help other transformers to do this. He is in good relations with all the maxima, but he considers Noble his best friend, and after his death he is very sad [6] . Nightscream is capable of emitting powerful shock acoustic waves, as well as sucking out energy from enemies for self-healing and amplification. In addition, it can euthanize enemies with a special device, like a sting , which is in his mouth.
- Silverbolt ( English Silverbolt ) - an air warrior. Animal Formation - Condor . He was freed from the power of his dark “alter ego” - Jetstorm (although the Trust continues to call him that) - Black Widow, but he is ashamed for not only committing atrocities, but also enjoying it. In the past, the noble light knight, Silverbolt is now constantly gloomy, and his main goal is always and everywhere to destroy the Vejicons; uses his feathers as a weapon, which he can throw at enemies like knives . Only at the very end of the series did he finally regain his peace of mind, and he regained his happiness with Black Widow.
- Botanica ( born Botanica ) is a botanist and geologist. It is transformed into a techno-organic plant . It takes care of the techno-organic maximal trees. As a rule, she does not enter the battlefield and does not want this, however, if necessary, she can be a dangerous opponent [7] . In plant mode, it is able to penetrate underground everywhere, and in robot mode it has a powerful electric gun on each thigh.
- Noble / Savage ( English Noble / Savage ) - a unique transformer, because it is completely organic. He is transformed from a humanoid wolf (in the form of which he calls himself Noble - "noble"), into a huge dragon (which is called Savage - "savage"), but does not have a robot mode. In fact, Noble is an organic embodiment of Megatron, created when he separated his technological side from the organic one, and incorporating the positive that was in kind of the former commander of the predons [8] . At first, he lived due to the fact that Megatron’s spark “stuck” in him; but even when she left his body, Noble did not die and could even partially preserve his mind. Of all the maxima, Knightscream was closest to him, and he always tried to defend him. At the end of the series, Noble sacrificed his life to prevent Megatron from destroying the maxima [9] .
Vejicons
- Megatron ( Eng. Megatron ) - an old antagonist from the "Animal Wars", the creator of the entire race of the Wehicons. The bestial form is a dragon [10] . Exceptionally smart, insidious, ironic. We are obsessed with the idea of creating from Cybertron a world of "pure technology." He hates and despises everything organic, including in himself, and dreams of getting rid of his own organic component. In the end, he succeeds, and as a result, Noble / Savage appears, and Megatron himself turns into a giant flying fortress [8] [11] . Despite his steep and imperious disposition, ruthlessness and other qualities inherent in a typical villain , Megatron is in fact an idealist , longing for what in his understanding is universal harmony.
- Jetstorm ( Eng. Jetstorm ) - General Aero-Dronov, transforms into a plane . What is he just not armed with: air-to-air and air-to-air missiles , blasters and machine guns . It carries a spark of Silverbolt, which was later reformatted. He is prone to “ black humor ” and exorbitant pride; he loves to play with his victims before destroying them. Nevertheless, he remained quite loyal to Megatron until his transformation.
- Tankor ( Eng. Tankor ) - General Tanko-Dronov, transforms into a tank . Armed with a plasma gun and two circular saws on his hands. It carries a spark of maximum Rainox. Tankor itself is utterly dumb (the only more or less coherent phrase that he says: “ Tankor - wash in powder! ”), And wants only to serve Megatron. But when the consciousness of Rainox awakens in him, he turns into a cunning manipulator, ready to do everything to destroy both Optimus and Megatron, and to reign over Cybertron alone [12] .
- Trust ( Eng. Thrust ) - General Cyclo-Dronov, transforms into a motorcycle ; in robot mode, armed with two laser guns mounted in his hands. It carries the spark of the predacon of the Aspirator. Even despite the fact that his old personality is completely depressed, he really likes to be a vexicon, since he believes that he is popular with girls in this form, and is generally good at everything. Indeed, in his new body, he became not only stronger, but also smarter and much braver. Unfortunately, the Trust, like the Aspirator, is constantly unlucky: he now and then gets into trouble, albeit with less serious consequences.
The trust is the only Vejicon general who did not betray Megatron and remained with him until he died at the last battle at the hands of Chitor, who took the spark from him [13] . The freed Aspirator was reformatted again, turning into a small techno-organic wasp ; True, he himself is by no means enthusiastic about this, but, nevertheless, he, in fact, turns out to be the only one of the predons who survived in the Animal Wars from beginning to end. - Strike ( born Strika ) - General of the Attacking Drones, transforms into an armored personnel carrier , is armed with several guns. In the past, she was one of Cybertron’s most famous military leaders, but now she’s reprogrammed and serves Megatron, using her talents of unsurpassed tactics.
- Obsidian ( Eng. Obsidian ) - General Copter-Dronov, transforms into a convertiplane [14] , is armed with machine guns . Strike's partner, like her, is a brilliant tactician. He justifies his allegiance to Megatron by the fact that Megatron is a Cybertron, and to serve it means to serve the entire planet.
- Explorer ( born Diagnostic Drone ) - a small flying drone ; It does not have a spark, but, nevertheless, it is the only one among the Vejicons who is intelligent enough to reason and act independently. Performs the role of a " life doctor " under Megatron. Reprogrammed by Tankor, who is trying through him to force Megatron to use the Key to the Sigma Vector against maxima [15] . Subsequently, Megatron used the Explorer’s exoskeleton as a temporary receptacle for his own “spark”, until he created a new body for himself, instead of being captured by maxima [6] .
Sequel
Hasbro company in 2001 confirmed the release of the sequel “Beast Robots”, which will be based on one series of toys and will be called “ Transformers: Transtech ”. Nevertheless, the company canceled the release of the series, and the series “ Transformers: Autobots ”, recently released in Japan, was adapted in its place. Later, Fun Publications began releasing the Transformers: TransTech comic book series, however it was already a separate universe.
