Geographical position
The village of Pershotravnevoe is located at the beginning of the Yar Kosarsky beam, on the Valuy gent, at a distance of 5 km from the villages of Dobrolyubovka , Tokarevka , Olshana , Orlyanka and Nikolaevka . The eastern part of the village used to be called Lipovka, the northern part - Khrushchevka.
Name Origin
In old maps, the village is called the settlement of Vladimirovka. After 1789, it was called Kovalevka (Ukrainian: Kovalevka). In 1919 it was renamed Manuilovka in honor of one of the leaders of the Ukrainian Bolsheviks Manuilsky. In 1961, the village received the current name Pershotravnoe. In the 2006 elections, the village is listed as Manuilovka (Manuilivka). [1] On the maps of the General Staff, 1978 edition, sheet M-37-76, the village is called Pershotravnevoe . Under the same name, the village appears in the KOATUU database and on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
