Structure
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia is a republican executive body that develops, implements and coordinates the policy of the Government of the Republic of Armenia related to its competence with laws and other legal acts in the areas of civil defense and population protection in emergency situations [1] .
History
The Ministry of Emergencies of Armenia was formed by presidential decree of April 21, 2008 [2] .
According to legislative amendments, from December 1, 2014, the Ministry was merged with the Ministry of Territorial Administration.
According to legislative changes, the ministry was re-established from February 23, 2016.
Tasks
The main tasks of the department are the development of a policy for forecasting emergency situations and preparing for them, coordinating the actions of various structures directly during emergency situations and questions on the prompt liquidation of their consequences [2] .
Guide
The Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia is Hrachya Rostomyan . The deputy ministers are Haykaram Mkhitaryan and David Karapetyan.
Structure
The body functioning in the field of management of the ministry is the Rescue Service of Armenia.
The designated divisions of the ministry are the State Reserves Agency, the National Seismic Protection Agency, the Accreditation and Licensing Agency, and the State Fire and Technical Safety Inspectorate.
The Ministry is also subordinated to the National Center for Technical Safety, the Special Mine Rescue Service and the Arm Hydromet Center.

According to the decision of the Government of Armenia, the Day of Rescuer is celebrated on September 4 [2] .
