Ahtiare Marghe (from "ahtiar" - the elder and "Marga" - the area where Lalysh is located) - the title of the spiritual head of the Yezidis. This title was usually worn by representatives of the Bave Sheh family (Bava Sheikh - the father of the Sheikhs) from the family of Sheikhs Fakhradin . Not all representatives of the Fakhradin clan carry the title of Bave Sheh. Twice as an exception, the title of Akhtiare Marghe was assigned to the faithful laymen (murids). Akhtiare marghe, together with the emir, are at the head of the Yezidis and the spiritual assembly (civata ruhani).
In addition to them, elders of the Yezidi communities and villages are convened at the meeting and ministers of the prayer. The Yezidis are characterized by a theocratic society. They are mainly divided into two main classes - Yaknav and Dunav, marriage between which is prohibited. Yaknavs are divided into Murids, Kavals, Fakirs and Kochaks, Dunavas are divided into Sheikhs and feasts. The latter, in turn, are divided into several dozen genera.
