Platinum Arena (Khabarovsk)

The complex was built from March 2000 to August 2003 by decision of the government of the Khabarovsk Territory and the city of Khabarovsk with financial support from the Artel Staiteley Amur CJSC and personally its Director General Viktor Andreyevich Lopatyuk. The complex was designed and built specifically to solve the city’s acute problem of holding large competitions, concerts, festivals, matches of the Russian ice hockey championship, games of the Russian volleyball championship. Since the fall of 2003, the Platinum Arena SZK has been holding home matches of Amur HC , and since the 2010/2011 season, the Platinum Arena SZK has also become the venue for home matches of the Amur Tigers MHK , performing in the MHL .

Platinum Arena is a multifunctional sports and entertainment complex designed for:

• sports competitions (hockey, volleyball, figure skating, short track, curling, boxing, all kinds of wrestling, basketball, ballroom dancing, gymnastics);
• concerts of world-class stars (opera singers, symphony orchestras, stars of modern foreign and domestic pop);
• circus shows;
• exhibitions and fairs.

The 5.94 hectare site on which the Platinum Arena SEC is located is located in the Central District of Khabarovsk at the intersection of two important transport and pedestrian highways and is a continuation of the green zone with city ​​ponds and a large parkland. The landscaped area surrounding the SEC "Platinum Arena" includes fountains, landscaping, artificial lighting, three parking lots that can accommodate 500 cars.

According to the results of the competition within the framework of the National Forum “Sports Industry of Russia”, the Platinum Arena sports and entertainment complex was awarded a diploma of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for facilitating the creation in Russia of a modern industrial, financial and trade infrastructure in the nomination “Best Sports Facilities - 2003” . The diploma was awarded by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yevgeny Maksimovich Primakov.
