Biography

He studied at the Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute. In 1939 he defended his thesis and was sent to Novokuznetsk . He wrote scientific papers on the use of hydrogen in smelting, on manganese steels , the use of oxygen converters, and hot casting [1] .

During the Great Patriotic War, he worked with a group of scientists on the creation of technology for smelting armor metal. In scientific activity, he was engaged in research in the field of reducing the percentage of manganese in pig iron , developing converter production, reducing the cost of steel production, and increasing its smelting [2] .

From 1949 to 1991 he was the head of the steel metallurgy department of the Siberian Metallurgical Institute [3] . He was vice-rector of the Siberian Metallurgical Institute in 1951-1955. Professor, author of articles in the journal Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii. Ferrous metallurgy ” [4] and other scientific journals. He was elected as a deputy of the Kemerovo Regional Council of People's Deputies.

He died on January 19, 1998 .
