JWPce is a free word processor for the Japanese language , running on the platforms Windows 95 , ME , 2000 , XP , NT and CE . It is designed to work with text containing Japanese characters. It is free software and is distributed under the GNU General Public License .

Description
One of two widely used text editors for the Japanese language, which is free, unlike NJStar . The default is English interface. Language packs for other languages can be downloaded from the official website of the developer. The program can use embedded fonts and does not depend on whether the operating system has support for hieroglyphs.
JWPce can work simultaneously with Russian, Japanese and English text. It is useful in learning the Japanese language, because it has a built-in English-Japanese dictionary, a directory of characters, programs for searching for characters by several keys, programs for working with character cards, etc.
JWPce supports various file encodings, and also allows the user to customize the fonts used to display text in various parts of the word processor.
JWPce can work in the mode of tracking the contents of the clipboard, looking for a translation of each copied word.
A key feature of JWPce is that it works without error on Windows CE and Pocket PC platforms. This allows students of Japanese to use it on a PDA as an electronic Japanese dictionary. The Windows version also works under Wine on Unix-like operating systems.
