Protected Monuments of the People's Republic of China ( Chinese trade. 全国 重点 文 уп 单位 , ex. 全國 重點 文物保護 單位 , pinyin : quánguó zhòngdiǎn wénwù bǎohù dānwèi , pall .: Quango zhongdian wenu baohu tribute “most important, literally”: - Monuments included in the list of historical monuments protected by the legislation of the PRC, approved by the State Council .
The first list of protected monuments of the PRC appeared on April 3, 1961 and contained 180 names, the second - in 1982, when another 62 were added. Currently, this list has been expanded many times.
Protected monuments in China include places of major historical events, cultural and scientific values - buildings, works of art, tombs and ancient burials, ancient architecture, cave monasteries, parks, stone steles with inscriptions, and more.
