Biography
Born December 14, 1931 in Kharkov .
In 1955 he graduated from the operator department of VGIK (workshop of Alexander Halperin ). In 1962, the film “ My Younger Brother ” was directed by Alexander Zarha . This was the first full-length film shot by Anatoly Petritsky, after which he was invited by director Sergei Bondarchuk to work on the film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy 's novel War and Peace . Filming lasted about 6 years (1961-1967). In 1969, the film War and Peace received the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film .
The favorite film, by the operator’s own admission, is Mimino by George Danelia [1] .

In 1984, he made his directorial debut - he directed the film " The Talisman of Love " together with Islan Kaziev .
