Titanism

Titanism is a trend in literature and philosophy, inspired by the revolutionary struggle with the established order, usually with an anti-religious bias. Titanism, characterized by fixation on the future and readiness for self-sacrifice, is called Prometheism , named after the titan of the "second generation" Prometheus . Literary critics connect the birth of modern Prometheism with the names of Byron and Goethe .
