Ust-Kan ( South Alt. Kan Oozi ) is a village in the Altai Republic of Russia , the administrative center of the Ust-Kan region . Forms the Ust-Kansky rural settlement .

Content

Geography

Located at the confluence of the Kan and Kutergen rivers into the Charysh River, at an altitude of 1010 m above sea level. From the village there are roads to Tuektu , Soloneshnoye , Korgon and Ust-Koksu . To Gorno-Altaysk 260 km, to the nearest railway station Biysk 360 km.

Ust-Kansk Cave is located 4 km from the village.

Sport

Since 1984, the children's and youth sports club Charas , the winner of the All-Union competition "Wicker Ball" in 1985 [13] , the silver medalist of the 2011/2012 season [14] , has been operating on the basis of the local youth sports school .
