Description

β€œThe flag of the Bavlinsky region is a rectangular panel with a 2: 3 ratio of width to length, consisting of two equal horizontal stripes of green and red, bearing in the middle figures from the coat of arms of the region made in white, black, yellow, green and blue.”

Justification of Symbols

The flag is designed on the basis of the coat of arms of the district and in the language of symbols and allegories reflects the natural, economic and historical features of the Bavlinsky region.

The silver figured rafter depicts the kokoshnik of a female Russian outfit and symbolizes the Slavic peoples living in the area. Kokoshnik along with a flower of a tulip (an element of the Tatar ornament) symbolize the unity of Tatarstan and Russia.

The plant sprout inside the tulip symbolizes life, and the infinity sign is the repetition of time cycles: days, weeks, seasons, etc.

Wheat ears and an oil fountain are symbols of the region’s wealth, and the mountains and the sun rising above them reflect the mountainous topography of the area located in the south-eastern part of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Green color symbolizes spring, health, nature, hope.

Red color is a symbol of courage, strength and beauty, a holiday.

White color (silver) is a symbol of clarity, openness, reconciliation, innocence.

Black color symbolizes prudence, wisdom, modesty, honesty.

Yellow color (gold) is a symbol of harvest, wealth, stability, respect and intelligence.

The blue color is a symbol of exalted aspirations, honor, glory, devotion, immortality.
